Remember Mibo? The origami animals? They have just introduced these XL bibs for toddlers with funky retro animal faces and I believe my girl would love them too. Spotted on coq en pâte.

Mijn meisje wil geen slabbetje meer. Nee, zegt ze resoluut. En daarna morst ze de inhoud van haar lepel over haar kleertjes. Misschien dat deze coole dieren van Mibo haar kunnen overtuigen?

Unfortunately, I have no heart for cooking. And because I do believe she should not copy my frustrations about pots and pans, I try to do things in the kitchen I have never tried before. Like baking cakes. And yes, we both kind of liked it. 

Ook al ben ik geen keukenheld(in), ik zou mijn meisje echt graag willen leren dat koken leuk kan zijn. Dus bakken we nu samen cakes. En eerlijk waar, ik vind het eigenlijk net zo leuk als zij!

Pancake Day

Wednesdays has always been pancake day at the house I grew up in. Ever since I was a little girl. My own little girl will get a nice taste of pancake day too, as soon as she is ready for some real solid food. Totally inspired by Jim's pancakes I am ready to start whipping up the pancake batter! I mean, how cute are these?!

Woensdag. Pannenkoekendag. Een Vlaamse traditie die ik ook hier in Duitsland invoer zodra mijn dochter klaar is voor het echte werk! En sinds ik Jim's Pancakes ontdekte, heb ik de beslagkom al in de aanslag!
