Nijntje, or Miffy to our anglosaxon readers, has been around since the mid fifties and the cute booklets are still best-sellers in the Netherlands.
When my girl was little she made me read this one story about Nijntje and her friend Nina over and over again, for months on end. I knew the story by heart and if I would dare try to skip some words or sentences, little miss Ella would correct me, because she of course knew the story by heart too...
I am pretty sure she would heart this lamp too.

I have always liked the colors and settings by Belgian brand mundo melocotón a lot and I think it is pretty exiting that they now also dress beds in vivid muslin!

Ever since a squirrel decided to reside in our garden, my wee girl gets nuts over the tiny animal. In looking for one for her room, I discovered this - even more wonderful - blog called one more mushroom. You can find the tutorial here.
Nu we een eekhoorn in de tuin hebben, loopt Anna-Lune hele dagen 'eeeeekoooo' te roepen - met vettige handjes en mond tegen het raam geperst. En toen botste ik op dit zelfgemaakte prachtexemplaar om op haar kamertje te hangen. De werkbeschrijving vind je op de blog one more mushroom. Super!

What an amazing DIY idea for a nursery! These stunning images appeared in the 2012 catalog by vintage inspired American brand Ruche. I am pretty sure these paper kites will find their way to thousands of kids' rooms. Thank you, Ruche!
Ruche kwam met deze insiprerende foto's op de proppen. Ik ben er van overtuigd dat heel wat mama's nu zelf aan de slag gaan om de kinderkamers op te vrolijken. Dankjewel, Ruche!

I have been living in Germany for 3 years now and discovered that is not only the Belgians which have hidden treasures. Germans love everything which is ecological, such as the nursery furniture by Kalon Studios or the Mozart music-ball by Siebensachen.
Nu ik al 3 jaar bij de Duitse buren woon, weet ik dat ook zij een paar schatten verstopt hebben. Na zo'n schattenjacht ontdekte ik de fantastische meubels van Kalon Studios uit Berlijn en de Mozart muziekbal van Siebensachen. Leuk, toch?!

Meet Bob. The story says Bob did not really want to sleep when the designers of Snurk, and owners of Bob, decided to do a sleepy dog photoshoot. Fortunately, the lamps were getting hot and Bob got tired of waiting... finally he fell asleep. And now Bob is just best night companion for your kids.
Bobs' baasje heeft lang - erg lang - moeten wachten voor de perfecte foto. Maar voortaan prijkt Bob heerlijk slapend op het beddengoed van je zoon of dochter. Schattig beddengoed van Snurk.
Snurk's spring collection also includes these lovely photo print cushions. Nice!

Wondering where you can find the baby bed you see popping up in so many nursery pictures? It is a Danish vintage design remake by Sebra. Originally the bed was called Juno Sengen. Blogger Nina wrote a post on it which is well worth reading. It is such a wonderful piece of furniture that I just could not resist buying it for my daughters' room.
Je hebt jezelf misschien ook al wel eens afgevraagd waar je dat wondermooie bedje kan vinden wat je vaak ziet in kinderkamerfoto's? Het is Deense design uit de jaren veertig dat oorspronkelijk de naam Juno Sengen kreeg. Ondertussen brengt Sebra het in verschillende kleuren weer op de markt.
