Sinterklaas on Sunday * Tiny Presents

Even though I live in Germany today, I try to keep my Belgian traditions alive and kicking. On December 6, Sinterklaas arrives and brings a table full of toys for the kids. In the weeks before his arrival, children van put their shoes in front of the fire with a letter for Sinterklaas. I think these tiny presents from Miepie fit perfectly in a girl's shoe. Don't you agree?

Fall Fashion Fridays * Kidscase Fall-Winter 2012

It feels like fall in Belgium and looking at these gorgeous Kidscase collection photographs I wish it already was... Cosy and comfortable are the words that immediately pop to my mind. And do I love the Kidscase color palette?!? Being a fall type myself these earth tones and warm hues naturally suit me, so I would gladly wrap myself in one of these chunky knits. Pretty please!

Sweet Saturdays * Pre-walkers for my girl

 

German brand Ella & Puck crafts pre-walkers by hand. I think I will get a pair of these lovely sandals for my little girl - for those first steps she is about to take any day now! What color would you choose for the inside?

Koolabah is a cool Swedish brand that designs edgy unisex fashion in organic materials for babies and kids until the age of six. The new Spring-Summer 2012 collection draws inspiration from vintage images of fishermen of East Asian cultures and from the fitness and jogging craze of the eighties. These divergent themes results in experimental forms wich co-join in surprise without loosing the functionality or comfort.
                        
Koolabah is een cool nieuw Zweeds merkje dat er met zijn eigenzinnige, unisex creaties in organische materialen echt wel tussenuit springt! Designer Nina Wolf combineert in haar designs voor baby's en kinderen tot zes jaar Japans minimalisme met Scandinavische functionaliteit. Voor de nieuwe lente-zomer 2012 collectie liet ze zich inspireren door vintage foto's van vissers uit Oost-Aziatische culturen en de fitness en jogging rage van de jaren tachtig. Deze uiteenlopende thema's resulteren in experimentele vormen die aan functionaliteit, noch aan comfort inboeten.

Spring & Summer Style Sundays * Pèpè

A friend of mine - an absolute shoeaholic - directed me to luxury Italian shoe brand Pèpè. Traditional shoes in sunny colors. I'm loving it! 

Het zoontje van een vriendin had zulke leuke schoenen aan, dat ik meteen op zoek ging naar hun origine. Het Italiaanse Pèpè Children Shoes combineert opvallende kleuren met stijlvolle traditie. Moooooi!

I am not into pink, but I could absolutely not resist buying this Fred & Ginger jump suit for my girl. I even bought it before I knew she would be a girl... *blushing*

Fashion Fridays * Once upon a time...

What I like about Dutch fashion brand Oilily is that they do not follow trends. This season, Cinderella, the prince on his white horse and all leprechauns found their way onto the collection. And it looks pretty cool and colorful as always!

Eigenwijs als altijd besloot het Nederlandse Oilily ook dit jaar geen trends te volgen, maar lekker hun eigen ding te doen. Inspiratie haalden ze uit kleurrijke sprookjesboeken. Leuk, leuk, leuk!

In Londen zagen we FUB voor het eerst. Vrolijke streepjes in nog vrolijkere kleuren - voor zusje en broertje.

Freezing Fridays * Vintage Gold at Bubble London

 

Aravore was one of my favorite brands; even long time before Bubble London. I love how their gorgeous hand-knitted garments are personally signed by the Paraguayan woman who put her time and love into it. The upcoming winter collection carries lots of wonderful accessories with tiny details and garments in 'vintage gold'.

Aravore staat voor organische kinderkleding die met de hand gemaakt wordt. Meer nog: elk stuk is persoonlijk getekend door de Paraguayaanse vrouw die haar tijd in het kledingstuk stak. Alleen dat zegt al genoeg! Volgende winter staat de collectie bol van de prachtige accessoires en de kleur 'vintage goud'!
